The Naruto that is born this day is one of the many in this era, and the third to be born in Konoha. The past two were the first and third Hokage. But the first Naruto was given the name Asura, for he was benevolent, but a major trickster, like the ancient god. Many were born since that time, across the world.
This Naruto Uzumaki was born as the son of the fourth Hokage, Mina Namikaze, and her wife Kushina. Kushina was the one miraculously pregnant, like those that came before her. She was honored like those before with the last name Uzumaki. Kushina gave birth to Naruto just outside Konoha.
Naruto was born a crying baby in the presence of his mothers. And what happened next was a fascinating site: Asura's immortal pet fox, Kurami, came and stayed with Naruto for the rest of his life like she did with all the others before.
This Naruto was chosen to be the godson of Miraiya, a sage and sanin. When the individuals return to the village, there is a major celebration and festival throughout.
Naruto grew up in a loving family, but the attention he got throughout the village as a little boy left him shy and timid. He would dress in clothes that covered every detail of himself so people didn't know who he was. This is the first time a Naruto was so shy.
He enrolled at the academy like most the girls. He never asked why he was the only boy in the village though. Although he did slack off to be a "Dead Last" in class, but he did do good in school. He made friends with several girls in school.
Satsuki Uchiha, the youngest of the Uchiha clan. Shini Aburame, the only girl who likes bugs. Cho Akimichi, the fattest girl in school. Sakura Haruno, a girl Naruto actually liked. Hinata Hyuga, a girl with a similar personality.
Niji Hyuga, Hinata's cousin who had a love-hate relationship with Hinata. Kira Inuzuka, a girl who is very short tempered. Stone Lee, a truly hyperactive girl. Shikamari Nara, the smartest and laziest girl in school. Tenten, a tomboy. And Ino Yamanaka, a tad vain girl.
Naruto also became friends with his teacher, Iruki Umino. Then came the day he was to graduate from the academy.
