The machines starting pinging, and beeping alar...

The sounds of the alarms going off, instantly summons the nursing staff. As you struggle to breathe, you see the concern on Jackie's face. The nurses need access to you, and ease her out of the way.

Doctor Johnson arrives at a quick walk. Taking the situation in in a single glance. "It's time."

A strangled gurgle comes from you, but you manage to nod your head. The warmth from an injection floods your veins as you feel the prick of an injection. It feels like you're falling back inside your own body. The world retreating from around you, the pain and struggle are distant, and disconnected. Slumping back against the pillow, you watch the ceiling, as it starts to pass overhead.

A giggle comes, but you don't hear it. Can't be sure it reached beyond a silly observation. Happy thoughts buzz through your mind, soon that tired body will be just a memory, and when you rouse properly, you'll be healthy again.

Head lolling to one side, as the bed rounds a corner, your vision falls across Jackie once more. Though this time, you see her hugging Susan. Sure that it should trouble, you drugs keep you happy and dopey.

Big blinding lights pass overhead, glaring directly down on you. Making an effort you squeeze your eyes shut against the pain. Relief follows, though your eyelids are blood red, as you hear the sounds of the operating theatre. The blood red darkens, as you feel a mask cover your face, slipping into the black, you feel all your concerns slip away.
