Destiny and Fate

    by: Unknown
As Destiny keeps on flapping, you hang on tight to her skirt, but the wind is too strong. But when it looks like you'd fly off and then fall to your death, you see Destiny's pinkish red hair flowing in the wind above you and get an idea. You grab the hair and start to climb. Miraculously Destiny didn't notice you. As you're snickering to yourself about the irony of the situation, you grab hold of a gray hair, Destiny's been getting a lot of them since you came to Under Gloom. Maybe all that stress you throw her way will give her a heart attack. Wouldn't that be wonderful.

However, you feel wind on you and look up to see that Destiny was flapping her wings harder and flying downwards. She flew over several skyscrapers as she was making her way to the street where she spotted what appeared to be an old clock tower. Destiny nods her head and flies closer towards the the side of the tower and you reveal that surprisingly the tower looked like it had been modified into a small house. Looked sort of gothic in appearance, was this her place?

You were about to get your answer because Destiny walked right up to the door and knocked on it. You climbed up and stood on the back of her bra to maintain your footing. You took it this far and couldn't afford to let that big blue bitch find you now or you're dead meat. Sure enough the door opens up and another gargoyle walks out, as tall as Destiny. Except this gargoyle was considerably younger. She looked similar to Destiny except for her indigo skin and the fact that her horns were smaller, almost underdeveloped looking. The younger gargoyle was heavyset in appearance in contrast to Destiny's hourglass figure and had brownish blonde hair rather than Destiny's pinkish red hair.

The younger gargoyle smiles at Destiny and gestures to her to come in. "Hi Mom." She says. "Mom?!" you wonder to yourself. "That must've been Fate." Destiny actually smiles herself as she kisses her daughter and walks in. You didn't think the old bat was capable of smiling.

"You've lost weight since the last time I saw you Fate," says Destiny. "Just don't go overboard." As you hang on tight to Destiny's hair, you hold your ears because the sounds of grinding gears filled the air. How could anyone stand living in a clock tower?

"Well," says Fate as she scratches her large stomach. "I see you're finally listening to the doctor." Destiny lets out a scoff and crosses her arms. "What does he know? If you hadn't given me hell about it, I would've never agreed to this." Fate crosses her arms and gives her mom a glare. "Well can you blame me? Since I hatched I can't remember a time when you took a day off from work. No one needs a vacation more than you." Destiny sticks out her tongue. Even when she's off work, that gargoyle is the most stubborn bitch you've ever met.

"Don't poke the bear Fate," says Destiny. "Ever second that two-faced viper Belladonna is in charge worries me." "Then why did you put that bitch in charge? She's after your job." "What choice did I have Fate? She's the only one even remotely qualified to be my successor." Fate gives a smug smile. "Successor? That won't be necessary. There's no way you'll willingly retire and you're much too stubborn to die." Destiny slightly scoffs at her daughter's joke.

Fate realizes that her mom isn't exactly in the mood for humor and lets out a sigh. "Perhaps some tea will put you in a better mood." As Fate heads into the kitchen, you get a good look at her and you're surprised. Aside from the colors of her skin and hair and obviously her weight... no way. How ironic given your nickname for Destiny. It was outright hilarious. Except that in this case they're on the same side. Better be careful, Fate could be just as nasty as Destiny.

Speaking of which, you turn your head and gasp because you see Destiny's blue, claw covered hand coming forward. You get out of the way as the warden scratches her neck and nearly feels you. If Destiny caught you out of Under Gloom, she'll hit the ceiling. You fall back on the top of Fate's couch and then make a run for the end to climb to the floor. As you pant to yourself, Destiny's ear twitched. "What the hell was that noise?" she asks. "A mouse running up the clock?" As Destiny turns her head, you hide under the couch.

That was too close, your most hated enemy almost saw you and you were in her daughter's house. If either of them saw you, it was game over. Destiny was going to check under the couch, but Fate saw what she was doing just as she put the kettle on. "Mother!" she yells out in an annoyed tone. "Relax. What is wrong with you." "Uh nothing sweetie," says Destiny. "I just thought I heard Wade. That man is the bane of my existence. Making a mockery of the justice system, attempted breakouts, calling me Demona! I've never had a more troublesome inmate in all my years of security. If he was a monster, I'd strangle him."

While she's ranting, you secretly give Destiny the middle finger. "Up yours Demona," you say. "You're in for a rude awakening once your "vacation" is over. I'll be long gone jerk face." Wait, now's not the time to be insulting Destiny. If she or Ang...er Fate saw you, you'd be back to Under Gloom, or worse. Destiny calms down and sits on the couch as Fate shakes her head. "I better get dinner ready. You're still on edge. It's always Wade this or Wade that. If you hate him so much, why don't you just squish him?" It shocked you that the nicer of the two gargoyles casually suggested killing you.

You definitely had to get out of this place. That's when you look forward and notice a back door in Fate's kitchen. If you could make it, you were home free. Of course, that would involve being in Destiny's line of sight. You were playing with dynamite today boy. But no matter, you inhale deeply as Destiny tries to calm herself by reading the newspaper and prepare to run for it. In an instant, you zip out from under the couch towards the kitchen, hoping for the best.

You have the following choices:

1. You Make it to the Kitchen

*Noteb*
2. Destiny Sees you (Aw Crap!)

*Noteb* indicates the next chapter needs to be written.
