A ten minute walk through the suburbs was all it took for Catgirl to reach Metropolis Prison. The circus outside the high-security complex was hard to ignore - reporters, policemen and curious citizens had gathered outside the prison walls hoping to get some answers about Footgirl's escape. The people of Metropolis were clearly distraught knowing the fragrant villain was again free to terrorize the city; the Mayor himself had decided to visit the place and Beth was hoping he would help her get to the scene of the crime.
She walked towards Mayor Reed's entourage as discreetly as possible, sneaking along the timber line of the nearby woods, unseen by the concerned crowd. As Beth approached the mayor, however, his bodyguards immediately stopped her.
"Let go of me, you philistine!" she snarled at the tall man who had grabbed her arms tightly, preventing her from walking any further. "I'm Catgirl!"
"We don't care who you are. But you ain't getting near the Mayor, that's for damn sure." the man replied as he dragged her away from his boss.
Struggling wildly, Catgirl managed to wrestle her arm free and instinctively punched the bodyguard square in the face, immediately regretting her action. Suddenly, Beth was surrounded by the mayor's entire security detail and soon enough she was being handcuffed and shoved into the back of a police vehicle.
"This didn't go very well..." she muttered to herself, after several minutes of angry silence inside the cop car. Ten minutes later, a young female officer entered the vehicle and started the engine. Before Beth was even capable of asking her about where she was going to be taken, the woman was already answering her question...
