Catgirl swooped into the firm, and looked around. It didn't show any signs that it had been broken into at all. That was what was scary about Footgirl. She was almost like a ninja with her proficiency, and stealth. If Footgirl ever was here, it wasn't obvious. Everything seemed accounted for. Beth shrugged and left. Nothing here could lead her to Footgirl.
The city was quiet for the next few days. No signs of crime, hell, not even a jaywalker. Beth was bored, and she didn't even have Jake to hang out with.
Suddenly, it went from no crime, to crime of the century, by the time Beth awoke almost a week after Footgirl had become free. Footgirl had kidnapped the mayor, and his entire cabinet!
"Catgirl!" Footgirl called out, on her live broadcast, showing off her new toys. "Give yourself up to me, or I will hurt these people. Surrender yourself, and I'll set them free... But, if you don't, not only will I torture these poor souls... I'll just go ahead and kidnap more people. "
Beth was conflicted, what was she to do? The city needed her, but she also couldn't just let the mayor and his associates suffer..
