"Don't be silly." Jen started to brainstorm ways to cover up Claire's gain. "10 pounds isn't a reason to cut back on eating."
"But mom, I can't even fit into my clothes." Claire sobbed back.
"Oh your father must have just washed them wrong. My clothes were feeling a little snug too". Jen said first lying but in reality her clothes were becoming much more tighter. "And 10 pounds is barely anything. I've probably gained double that". Again Jen's lie was close to reality.
Claire didn't really see a difference in her mother's weight, as Jen already had weight on her before and the amount she had gained didn't change her appearance that much.
"Well, I guess it isn't that much"
"In the metric system 10 pounds is a minuscule amount, it just seems bigger here. Plus a 18 year old like you needs to be gaining not losing. You can always use more womanly shapes."
"Alright mom, that's not something I want to hear from you."
"I was about your age when I fully developed..."
"MOM! I get it"
Jen had successfully gotten Claire off the topic and she was going to capitalize on Claire's changed attitude.
"Well no that you're no longer overreacting how about we have some dinner. And don't worry my cooking is a good healthy homemade meal."
"Okay, you won me over."
Claire had no reason to not trust her mom. She was always right about things. Well, maybe not always but she wouldn't do anything to harm Claire's health and figure. Right? Now instead of worrying over a "few" pounds, Claire was more focused on what her mom had been cooking.
Jen had prepared a large feast but just to be careful, she brought out each dish one at a time when so that Claire wouldn't suspect anything. After finishing most of the food both women were stuffed and it showed. Their already tight clothes were showing a lot of skin and Jen had popped a button off her pants. As Claire began to leave the dining room Jen stood up, after a little back and forth motion to get her rear off the seat, and put her plumb hand on Claire's shoulder.
"How about we go buy some new clothes tomorrow and this time we don't have you father wash them"
"Yeah, that sounds good."
"And honey, I'll make sure we'll only eat healthy food, so don't be worried over that stuff."
And with that Jen had fully convinced Claire to blindly allow her mother to be in charge of her food intake.
