Coughing the cowboy waited grimly. He didn't know what awaited him when smoke would clear but he figured it wouldn't be anything good. Graves had always seemed to have a death wish out for him, even here on the fields.
But as it turned out, nothing happened. As the smoke cleared Fate found himself alone. Graves had disappeared without a trace. Quickly the card master looked around. Why disengage? Fate had no backup, he was completely helpless and yet, Graves was nowhere to be seen. For that matter, neither was Yasuo.
Not easily fooled, Fate decided to looked around carefully, in case this was all just an elaborate trap. Taking a few careful steps, he walked towards the river bush where he assumed Yasuo had been not too long ago. In his hand he had another set of cards ready.
As he did however, Fate heard a strange sound. He stopped and looked around puzzled. Was someone calling out to him? Was it his team?
And then, he spotted something on the ground. Or rather, a bug maybe. Looking closer the card master's eyes widened. It was no bug. There, on the ground beside a small rock a few feet away was a tiny miniature version of Graves, waving his arms up at him, shouting. To Fate, Graves looked no bigger than an insect. An insect that would tower in the presence of a giant human like himself.
Fate grinned. So, lady luck had indeed been on his side.
