She hadn't brought anything outside with her -- no towel, no shoes, no hat, no watch, nothing. She had taken the precaution of rubbing some sunscreen on herself before going outside, but that was it.
Naked and barefoot, Lizzie stepped onto the path. She started walking, past the neighboring house. The houses in this block were mostly used by college students, some of whom lived there year-round. She knew that, on a Friday, most of the kids who lived in the houses would have gone home for the weekend, but she also knew that at least some of them, like her, didn't go home every weekend. At least some of the houses had people in them, some of whom might be watching her now. The thought gave her the usual thrill she got from exposing herself.
There was another house beyond the neighbor's, then another, and another. At at end of the block, just before the intersection, was a small convenience store. Lizzie had gone there many times herself when she needed something and needed it quickly.
As she passed the store now, the front door flew open and someone rushed out, not looking where they were going, and right into Lizzie, knocking her backwards. Barely looking at her, this person started to apologize, then stopped when they realized the curvy and pretty college girl in front of them didn't have a stitch of clothing on.
