You have managed to make it a few blocks with Mikki's head without anyone noticing. It wasn't far now until you were home and you could remove Mikki's head from under your jacket. "So far, so good." You thought to yourself. As you turn the corner, however, you run into a bit of a problem. Your friend Rebecca was walking towards you and had already spotted you.
"Aw crap!" You whispered.
"What is it?" Mikki asked from under your jacket.
"It's Rebecca. She's spotted us and is coming straight towards us. Keep quiet." You tell her. As Rebecca reaches you, she stops to speak.
"Hey, Gavin."
"Hey 'Becca. What's up?" You reply.
"So, you just been at Mikki's? I'm just heading over there myself." She asks.
"Uh, yeah. I was just there. She wasn't in though, so I would just go over later." You lie. You didn't want Rebecca going over there to discover that Mikki wasn't there.
"Ah, okay. I'll just try later then." She says. She then notices the bulge in your jacket. "Hey, what's under your jacket?" She asks.
"Uh, Nothing! I don't know what you're talking about!" You panic.
"Come on. It's pretty obvious that there's something there. What are you hiding?"
"Nothing! I swear!" You say. Just then, you hear Mikki sneeze. You go silent. Rebecca is staring right at you.
"Okay, what's going on?" She asks, more serious than she was before. You think about your situation for a moment. You decide that there's no point in continuing to lie.
"Alright. Before I show you, promise you won't freak out." You tell her.
"Okay. I won't." She says. You then unzip your jacket to reveal Mikki's head underneath. Rebecca's eyes widen in shock.
"What the....? Mikki!?"
"Shhh. Not so loud!" You whisper. "She's alive. We can explain." You tell her.
You and Mikki then explain to Rebecca what had happened and how you were taking her head back to your place.
"Oh my god. I'm so sorry, Mikki." Rebecca says. "I'll try my best to help you find your body again."
