Michael said, "I don't care about fixing your fantasy. Damien is off having fun and will calm down eventually. I say we leave the area where Damien is playing and find a wizard elsewhere to just make this more tolerable until the technicians fix the simulation."
Ryan said, "But . . . I suppose. That does seem to be the safest option, getting away from Damien's magic rampage."

The party travels a few days and Michael becomes accustomed to his role as slave. It's not a great role but it's not that bad. Sure he has to walk while Ryan rides. Sure he has to do work like gathering firewood. But it's not that much different from a camping trip.
The party consists of Ryan, Michael, Neville the chancellor, Justin the squire, and Bill the marshal. Bill mostly ignores Michael. Justin occasionally pulls pranks on Michael. But the worst one is Neville who keeps reminding Michael that he is a slave and forcing Michael to play the role to a T.
It gets really bad when they enter a city which they have to do from time to time. On day four, Neville drags Michael off to a slave market and Ryan isn't there to help. Neville takes Michael's clothes away and offers to sell him. Michael is tossed in a cage while Neville haggles with the merchant.
Then Ryan arrives but Neville has a beautiful young female slave brought out. Neville says, "Michael is a pathetic slave. He doesn't know what he's doing and has to constantly be taught everything. This young slave is skilled and more pleasant to the eye."
Ryan says, "But Michael is my brother."
Neville says, "He is a slave. bring him out and let's compare."
Michael is brought out and stood next to the female. Neville encourages Ryan to inspect both slaves while Neville points out their differences. Neville even pulls Michael's butt cheeks apart and says, "That's the only hole he has if you're into that kind of thing but I say that she has a much better hole for that purpose. Still, he is your slave. It is within your legal right to use his body. That would be the only reason that makes sense to me for keeping him. He's no good as a worker. So are you one of those kinds that wants to keep this slave for your bed?"
