The Hero of Bowerstone's Sister always wanted a wish granted. From a young age, she was the main provider for both herself and her sibling. She found it hard by herself, as Bowerstone Old Town had a number of shady characters, including one persistent creep who offered money for a "Favour".
As soon as Little Sparrow was old enough, Rose was forced to send her out to help provide. But one fateful day, a trader, by the name of Murgo, came into town.
"Come one, come all!" shouted Murgo at the crowd gathering around his caravan. "First item I have procured from the Old Kingdom is this!"
He whipped off a tarp on an object next to him, revealing a mirror. At the back of the crowd, two girls approached, curious at the noise.
"Now, whoever looks into this mirror, in complete darkness, will instantly become beautiful. All for the price of 5 gold coins!" promised Murgo.
"I'll take it!" shouted a man at the front.
"Excellent, excellent. You won't be disappointed, I assure you. Now, my next object is this. A magic music box. All you must do is turn the key and whatever you wish will become reality."
After this, the crowd dispersed.
"Rubbish" said the taller of the two girls. "There's no such thing as magic!"
A woman clothed in a red robe turned around to face them.
"It's a sad time indeed, when the young don't believe in magic." She said.
"You don't actually believe it's magic, do you?" asked the girl.
"All for the price of five gold coins, you could have an answer. But whatever the choice, you and your Little Sparrow won't be any closer to the inside of a castle. Eating fine food, drinking the best wine. The choice is yours, Rose."
With that, the woman walked off.
"We might as well try it, Little Sparrow. It'll make no difference to our lives if it isn't magic. Come on, let's get those coins!"
