"Oh, my God," said Megan, because it was already obvious that he was growing. His jeans appeared shorter, revealing his ankles, and his shirt was straining against a larger upper body. It ripped at the seams, revealing muscles that a bodybuilder would envy, his body hair disappearing as his skin darkened to a bronze tan. He had to unzip his too-tight jeans to make room for his drastically enlarged cock and balls.
"Whoa," he said, now about a foot taller, running his hands over his unfamiliar body. His voice had dropped an octave as he started to say, "Megan, what do you think --"
He stopped. She was sitting on the couch with a vacant expression and glassy eyes, her mouth open with her lips forming an "O." Her shirt had shrunk to reveal her midriff, her skirt was now only micro-length, and stiletto-heeled shoes were on her feet. It only took a quick touch of her body -- now some sort of artificial material that felt only sort of like human skin -- to realize that she'd turned into a doll. A little more investigation beneath her skirt -- both openings were now sized to fit Charles's new equipment like a glove -- proved that she'd indeed become his perfect fuck doll.

The effects of the wish didn't stop there. Unrealistic resolutions were ignored -- no 8-year-olds who'd resolved to get superpowers would start flying around or turning invisible -- and the resolutions had to apply only to the person doing the resolving, but anything at least semi-realistic was magically enforced.
People who'd resolved to diet or work out in the new year would find themselves compelled to follow the resolution. Those who'd resolved to lose weight, though, had the pounds melt away at midnight. Those who'd resolved to get LASIK surgery suddenly had their vision improve to 20/20. Anyone resolving plastic surgery had their bodies change to the "after" they'd envisioned -- well, maybe a little more over the top.
Other people who wound up "lucky" were those who'd resolved "to do something about this _____" -- their problem would magically take care of itself -- and many lonely people who'd resolved to find someone special in the New Year, who found themselves suddenly lip locked with the person of their dreams while the clock was still striking midnight.
Of course, there were many other situations happening around the world...
Robert Cole and his wife Jennifer had resolved to try to understand each other better in the new year. That meant at midnight, they swapped bodies while they were kissing.
