You rush out the door, feeling the unfamiliar snug fit of Sarah’s clothes. The silky texture of the panties is odd, but there’s no time to dwell on it—you’re already running late.
Half-jogging to the bus stop, you tug at the waistband of the pants, trying to get comfortable. Every step feels awkward, the slightly too-tight fabric restricting your usual stride. As you reach the bus stop, you check your phone—no time to spare. The bus screeches to a halt in front of you, and you quickly hop on, swiping your card.
The vehicle is more crowded than usual, and you squeeze into a seat next to a man who barely acknowledges you. You shift uncomfortably, acutely aware of the soft material underneath your clothes. The bus lurches forward, making you clutch the seat to steady yourself.
An old lady across from you gives you a warm smile. “Oh, honey, pink is a good color on you.”
You hesitate before mumbling, “Uh… thanks,” then turn your attention to your phone, hoping to avoid further conversation. Your reflection in the dark screen reminds you of your situation, but you force yourself to focus on work emails instead.
With every stop, the ride feels longer. You tap your foot impatiently, urging the bus forward. A couple of teenagers in the back burst into laughter, making you paranoid for a moment. Are they laughing at you? You shake it off, staring determinedly at the window.
Finally, your stop arrives. You hustle off the bus, weaving through pedestrians as you head toward the office building. The revolving doors almost feel like a checkpoint—you just need to get inside, make it to your desk, and everything will be fine.
Just as you step in, Ms. Carson strides past.
"You're late, Williams!" she barks, her sharp eyes scanning you. Her gaze lingers on your pink-tinged shirt for a second, but she says nothing.
"Dog-related emergency," you blurt out.
She grunts in response before walking off. You exhale, relieved. So far, so good.
Just as you settle at your desk, James leans over the cubicle wall, smirking. “Dude… is that a blouse?”
Crap.
