The Resistance

"Are you done yet?" Kira asked as he braced the large metal door with metal table.

"I told you this was a delicate process," Neil growled as peered down at the focus of his attention through a magnifying glass. He sat a top of a eight foot tall armored, mechanical humanoid which lay face up and lifeless on the ground. The armor on its chest, upper arms and face had opened to reveal the innards of the metallic warrior to reveal that it needed a wearer.

"They'll be here any minute!" Terra warned as she helped Kiba drag a large metal beam towards the door. With some difficulty, the two managed to affix the beam across the door to act as an oversized deadbolt lock.

"I'm working as fast as I can!" Neil called as he ran to the side of the machine's head and closed a panel before moving around to its side to plug an oversized black extension cord into its arm. He then ran to a computer that the extension cord was attached to and began furiously typing and punching in keys.

Kiba and Terra watched with anticipation until they heard a loud thud at the door.

"We're out of time," Kiba announced, his tone was grave and his expression stoic. Terra nodded in agreement.

"So what now?" Neil asked, "I'm still not ready yet."

"We'll buy as much time for you as we can," Terra replied, "But, I doubt it'll be anything significant."

"Regardless of what happens here, we did our job," Kiba stated, "The hideout was evacuated with three of the four units. This is about finding ourselves an opening to get out now."

As soon as Kiba finished his sentence, two German shepherd anthros came busting through the door. Kiba was the first to react, throwing a hammer as hard as he could at the first officer. The head of the hammer thudded against the canines chest. He gave an audible help and whine before clutching his chest and growling at Kiba. Terra followed up with a wrist mounted slingshot, firing a showere of rocks and ceramic chips from it. While it did slow the officers it did little to stop them. Terra the switched tactics and picked up a metal rod laying nearby.

Leaping into the air she brought the pole down on the officer closest to her. He easily blocked the overhead attack with one arm and reached out to grab Terra with the other. Unable to dodge in the air, Terra founder herself suspended by the hood of her hoodie. This was a mistake on the part of the officer however as his prey still held onto her makeshift staff. Taking the staff, Terra smashed it against the side of the shepherd's face. He howled in agony as he dropped the human and clamped his hands over his face. Taking the opening, Terra struck him again under his chin and twirled the rod around herself as though it were a propeller that she controlled with the accuracy of ballerina. She struck the Shepherd again and again, each time in a different place.

As Terra occupied the officer in front of her, Kira kept the other one busy with his own methods. Though he wasn't as agile as Terra, he was still far more talented than the average human. He disappeared into the shadows of the building, prompting the officer to follow him. As the officer adjusted to the dark and found his target, Kira shined a flashlight directly into his eyes. The canine whimpered and covered his eyes allowing Kiba to rush in and whack him in the snout with the steel flashlight casing. As the Canine clutched his nose Kiba ran behind him and limbed a file cabinet, using it as a stepping stone to throw himself onto his attackers back. Mustering all the strength he could, Kiba put the the officer into a chokehold. It took all of his strength to hold his grip. The attack was effective, but short lived as he was ripped from the officer's back and tossed to the cold stone ground. Shaking the dizziness from his head, he found that Terra now stood next to him, brandishing her rod defensively against not one, but two officers. Tired and slightly battered, the two humans realized that they had done all they could. The three anthros closed in on them, but suddenly stopped when a whirring noise was her followed by a high pitched whine, almost like a jet engine. Eventually the noise died down to a faint hum.

"Why don't you pick on somebody your own size?" Neil's voice echoed as if through a loudspeaker. A large silhouette rose above Kira and Terra, heavy footsteps were heard as the figure moved past them to reveal a large mechanical humanoid with a yellow visor over where it's eyes would be and a metal faceplate covering its mouth. It wore a helmet that was swept back in a tear drop design while the rest of its armor was rounded and sleek looking to match. It was painted a matte grey and stood at a level height with the officers. On its back it wor a sleek, metallic backpack which had several vent slots running along its sides and top. On the back of the pack the Number '01' was printed in white and above the numbering were the words 'Silent Echo'.

"So?" Neil asked as he pounded one metallic fist into the palm of his other hand in front of his chest, "Who wants some?"

You have the following choices:
