You don't know where you are or how you got there. But you know you don't belong there. You push your way through the crowd, all the anthros in the crowd are clamoring around you as they try to get a better look or snap pictures of you on their phones. You weren't interested in staying to find out if they were peaceful. The first thing you needed to do was find some secluded area where you could get a handle on what was going on.
You didn't make it very far however before police cars came screeching down the street and stopped ahead of you. You paused and backtracked in the opposite direction, but only to find police cars pulling up there as well. Several officers got out to do crowd control while two in particular approached you.
"What have we here?" One asked. He was a male German Shepherd in a standard police uniform.
"It looks like this... creature... is the cause of the disruption," The other officer; who turned out to be a male tiger noted.
"Any idea as to what it is?" The Shepherd asked.
"I couldn't say," The tiger replied, "But we can't leave it here."
"Let's get a containment unit down here and get it locked down and back to the station. We can figure more out there," The Shepherd suggested.
You didn't like that at all. You took a couple of steps back and scowled at the Shepherd. This didn't go unnoticed by the tiger. "Did you see that?" He asked.
"See what?" The Shepherd replied.
"His entire demeanor changed when you mentioned the containment unit and taking him back to the station," The tiger stated as he gazed at you with wonder.
The Shepherd looked down at you and then back to the tiger, "Did it?" He asked.
You were really tired of the conversation and began looking for a way to escape. The answer came to you in the form of an open manhole cover.
"Based on his reactions so far, its entirely possible that he is able to understand us. Or at the very least he can sense the meaning behind our tones," The tiger mused.
"You do realize how far fetched that sounds, right?" The canine asked.
