As you gaze upon the easel and Kath's huge furred hand, you couldn't help but realize the similar figures being blotched in. After just a few minutes, to your utter surprise, you managed to spot a rather realistic portrayal of Kath herself. While Kath did look great in the painting, what surprised you the most was the sight of your very own form right besides her. While at first glance it did appear just like any typical human, but there was no denying the keen features on the figure. "wow..." you mutter gazing up at the painting in awe and slight confusion. "it looks great...but...why exactly did you add me?" you ask her with a slightly raised brow. "I wasn't really in the landscape..."
Above, Kath's furred face exhibited an even deeper shade of red by the comment as she quickly averts her eyes and raises her shoulders slightly. "Is...I-is it strange?" she asks in a concerned tone, as if unsure she did something insulting to you.
"N-no! not at all!" you quickly retort while waving your hands up dismissively. "I'm not angry or anything...it's just...that I'm just curious why you wanted to add me." you ask truthfully as Kath's large head slowly turns back to the painting.
"w-well..." she stammers. "I...I just thought it would seem right to add you in the painting...s-seeing as how you work here." She replies, though to be honest it was hard to tell if she was being completely honest or not. Unsure whether or not you should press on with questioning her artistic inclusion, you ultimately decide to drop the topic.
"I see." you nod your head acceptingly while gazing at the small painting of you. "well, you certainly do have my scale perfect." You add humorously as a small giggle managed to escape Kath above.
"T-thanks." She replies before finally turning to gaze down upon your miniscule form. As you return a gaze up at her huge orbs, one dying question soon manages to envelop your mind.
"Hey Kath?" you call the massive feline curiously.
"y-y-yeah?" She stammers with wide eyes for a brief moment.
"Not to seem intrusive...but how come you spend most of your time alone?" While you were already well aware of how shy she was, you always did wonder how she would be like if she was to hang out with either you or one of the other beachgoers.
A long pause emerged from the question as Kath once again averts her eyes. "w-well...you see...I'm not so social around...others." she states
"Really?...well...why not just hang out with others on the beach?" you ask curiously. "there's tons of people here, and I'm sure you'll manage to make some really awesome friends if you get out there."
Kath's eyes widen by the suggestion as a shade of red became visible underneath her fur, "b-but...what if they don't like me, or what if I'm too strange or something?" she counters as her voice quivered slightly. Just by her tone alone, it seemed she was extremely anxious about interacting with others.
"Well...why not hang out with someone who's a regular here?" you ask.
"l-l-like who?" Kath replies as her head slowly cocks to the left.
