Safety in numbers... Or not

The Smilodon snorted and turned around. It walked back the way it had came. You sighed in relief, the others screams started to die down as they realised the Smilodon was leaving. A few people who had been running stopped to watch the cat leave. You watched the Smilodon as it left, it walked slowly but it didn't stop or look back. A brief glance under its tail revealed it had been a male Smilodon. In just a few moments the Smilodon was gone completely. You couldn't hear its heavy footsteps anymore. For a few minutes everybody seemed to look around at the forest, as if waiting for another giant animal to appear. But after five minutes nothing happened and a group formed again. You decided to head for the group. ''Just as well discuss what to do. This place is not safe with giant animals like that! If the Smilodon had attacked...'' You mumbled to yourself as you walked to the group, which was growing in number. Everybody here was heading to the group. You stopped as another thought crossed your mind. 'Is it safe to be gathering in one big group? If another giant animal approaches we'll be one easy target.'

You was about to shout out your concern when all your fears happened. There was rustling then heavy footsteps. Another giant animal was approaching! ''Oh no!'' You whined as the others started to panic and scramble in all directions. Seconds later the giant animal appeared it was...
