"I was wondering if you could go back out and do some more work. We're actually short on funds this month, so I figured it might be better to ask for more." Ruthie admitted, looking somewhat ashamed. "I know that I disagreed to you doing this in the first place but... we need the money."
Rex's features softened as he took in Ruthie's downtrodden expression. Obviously, it took effort for her to come out and say this, so he figured he could do her this favor. She had taken care of him for years now, there was nothing he wouldn't do for his mother.
"Sure, I'll do it." He nodded, drinking the last of his whiskey. "I have no problem."
"Thanks a lot." Ruthie grinned. "You know how much this means to me."
"That I do." He said. "I'll be back at sundown then."
He left through the back door, same way he came in, and pondered. Where should he go next for his misdeeds?
