The Infant's Dream had a a strange and juvenile atmosphere to it. He wasn't sure if it was the perpetual smell of vanilla and baby power, the clouds that always formed cutesy bear-cubs or tiger-kittens, the way the water sparkled like crystal or the fact that he had to waddle as he walked, since the diaper he had to wear kept his legs apart as it crinkled. His body was covered in the "cute" (as Judy put it) overalls but he was not able to convince Judy remove the diaper. He tried removing it himself, but every time he tried, his mind went blank. He could not understand why, but he just couldn't figure how to get it off. He knew that the diaper was held on by the tapes on the side, but overtime he went for them, he instantly forgot how. it was weird.
The crinkling noise was obnoxious. Judy was obnoxious. Judy, with her constant dotting and hovering and baby-talking and…
"Guh!" Steven grunted in frustration. "Why won't you leave me alone?!"
"Because sweetie," said Judy. "I can't just leave my baby unsupervised. That would make me a bad mommy."
"Would you stop talking to me like that? I am not 'your baby', and you are not my mother!"
