When Hiccup woke up, his head was pounding and his room was filled with smoke and the stench of something very rank. He started to feel sick himself, and when he looked over to Toothless, his friend was looking more than a little off colour himself.
Tentatively he rubbed his temples and eyes as he clumped around his room. He really needed to get a window open and air out the place. With a squelch he look down knowing what he was going to see.
"Toothless!!" he grumbled as the liquid dragon sick slipped off her foot to land with a wet -glop- back on the floor.
Hiccup opened the window as wide as it would go, and stuck his head out too. The air was damp and cold, but better than that it didn't smell of dragon vomit. He took deep gasps filling his lungs, as his hair blew in the steady wind.
It was then that he noticed something was wrong. His hair was much longer than last night. His long brown hair was now as long as Ruff or Tuff.
He'd never gone full-viking, as he considered it. The wild unkempt hair was fine for a burly man with full beard, but with his build he decided not to risk looking too .... too well ... feminine.
Toothless joined him at the window his large draconian head pushing him effortlessly to the side. However Toothless still seemed a little off, he even gave Hiccup an unsure sniff, as if uncertain his friend was the same.
The fresh air soon revived the friends.
"Shall we circle the island?" he asked Toothless eager to be away. He bounded around the room in anticipation causing devastation in his wake. But thankfully most of the things were toppled rather than smashed.
