Your mind races as you watch the demon silently revel in his victory. You're not sure what the ritual will accomplish, but you know it can't be good. You think back to all Madame Lustria taught you about magic rituals, and remember that the easiest way to stop one would be to break the circle. Normally, this would be easy as the circle would be made of something like salt or ash, but this circle was carved into the stone floor, making it a lot harder to disrupt. Normally, a simple earth molding spell would be enough for this, but your magic reserves were already extremely low, and you'd completely run out of food. Even if you did have enough mana to cast the spell, you're not sure how you'd deal with the demon. Looking around the room for something, anything that might help you, you notice the table covered with alchemist's supplies. It was covered with mixing bowls, vials of ingredients, and other equipment, but what intrigued you the most were what seemed to be some completed potions. It was impossible to tell from this distance what the potions were, but they truly seemed to be your only option, so you steady yourself and begin to sneak over to the table.
