You were just so excited. Once the amulet's power had revealed itself, you wanted to just keep barreling forward down the possession chain, and the first candidate that popped into your head was svelte powerhouse Laura, First Place in gymnastics, star basketball player, unparalleled swimmer, a great kisser (so some guys claimed - and some girls), both sexy and all the athletic prowess you had been denied growing up in your dweeby, skin-and-bones body. You barely got to think, "I wish I were Laura," when suddenly Jasmine's room turned into Laura's basement, two houses down from yours, and you were sitting on a couch surrounded by six other girls taking hits from a joint. Laura's buzz filled your brain. For a moment, her curves, tank-like torso and mammoth assets seemed like the most natural extension of your body - and then you really focused.
Jesus! Your biceps brimmed like volcanos and your thighs could break coconut shells if you squeezed hard enough. As Laura, you felt like you could run for miles on end while still feeling great, her red ponytail batting against the back of your head, swishing in the wind. You could picture it now... Until Laura's friend and basketball teammate Rana tapped her shoulder. "Laura!" she said absurdly loud. Clearly, Laura had not been paying attention. "We want to know - What do you think of Joseph?"
They were talking about you! Heavens to Murgatroid, everything was settling into place today without your having planned it in the slightest. Just as you scanned your mind for a convincing answer, another girl, Mindy, prodded your ankle from where she reclined on the floor. "Laura, come on. Forget these chumps. I've got the shot glasses out back. It's time we end this fight once and for all!"
A drinking contest? Some more voices chimed in, disorienting you and making it harder to get a grasp on what you should do next, especially since your body was tingling with its newness. The amulet shimmered in your hand, before you made sure to squeeze your fingers closer together and hide it. ... Laura was going to give you a lot of fun, but it was going to take some quick thinking and rapid-fire instincts...
