You suddenly feel the leash going taught, looking at Misty you notice that she's nodding towards a skateboard laying upside down on the ground a few feet away, probably belonging to a kid in one of the apartments. You wondered why a skateboard interested her at all when it hits you. "Listen, I know you're probably angry-"
"-Probably!?" The man bursts out cutting you off "I AM angry!"
"Right, okay I understand, but I can fix this" you say as you start picking up the shredded pieces of packaging as you walk backwards while Misty walked behind you and guided you to the skateboard.
"How can you fix this" The man demands.
"By..." At that moment you feel something flat bump against your back. turning around you find Misty holding the skateboard in her mouth waiting for you to take it. "... By making myself scarce" You say as you take the board from Misty and jump on with a running start. Once you start rolling misty begins to pull you using the leash as a tow line. As you make your escape a kid runs out of one of the apartments.
"Hey! That's my skateboard!" He shouts.
"Sorry! But it's either your board or my hide!" You call back.
The man get's in his car and attempts to chase you, but your wolf/board turns out to be far more agile and maneuverable than any sedan, especially since you could fit where the car couldn't. Eventually you lose him and make it home. You open the door and put your newly 'acquired' skateboard under your bed and collapse on the couch while staring at the ceiling. You then hear a muffled thud and look up to find Misty staring at you. "What?" You ask.
"I'm hungry" She replies. You stare at her in disbelief while she just stares back at you. "What? It was eleven miles home and I only get ten miles to the steak while pulling loads or in this case, you." You continue to gape at her, you really do love her and you don't like being mean to her or punishing her, plus she did kinda save you from a beat down from a guy twice your size. At the same time though you would never have been in trouble with the guy had she listened to you in the beginning and let you lead her home...
