You hear the alarm clock buzzing and then you get up and let out a yawn. You walk to the window and look out at the bright red sky. It happened before your time but centuries ago, the Earth was changed. A meteor struck and caused magic to return. All women on the planet were turned into giant monsters based on the creatures of mythology. They ruled the world now. As you look out the window, you see the mail woman, a gigantic pegasus fly down from the sky and just pass your window. You step back to avoid being seen.
There was a time when this was a man's world, but with all the women turned into enormous creatures, those times were over. Your room was nothing more than a cabinet in the wall of your mother's apartment. She and your sister too were giant beasts. It was hard to be a man in this world, but on the bright side, you got a good look at the gargoyle girl from the apartment across the street taking a morning shower.
Suddenly you hear a banging on the wall and then the door to your cabinet and you look up at the bright white furred face of your unicorn monster and see her looking down on you with her long blonde hair and pink eyes. "Up and at 'em little guy," she says with a smile. "The day's just begun." You let out a sigh. After all these years, you'd think you'd be used to this crazy world.
