You open your eyes slowly and see only a distorted reality. You believe yourself to still be in the science facility but you don't think it's the same room. Medical equipment and distant beeps from a heart rate monitor surround you. Still not sure where you are you see a blurry figure state."He's waking up".
You try to respond but your voice sounds different, you hear an accent. You suddenly remember that you're likely no longer you, you're Chasity. You start to get a grip of this new foreign body and manage to creep out the words "am I ok?". Prior to letting out a high pitched yelp from the pain.
The dark figure gives you something for the pain and you soon black out.
Some time later you awake again feeling much better than before. Your vision is no longer cloudy and upon looking around the room you see the loving faces of your family members surrounding you.
Your mother is crying and your father avoids eye contact, and before they can explain a doctor comes in to do it for them.
"Son, I know you're probably frightened and shocked right now, but I'm afraid I have some bad news. I'm afraid that the body switch project had some...complications"
You had so many questions: Why were you being medicated? Where was Chasity? How long were you out cold?
He continues, "It just so happens that the technology we were working with was very unstable and has since been scrapped, during the procedure it seems that the brain cannot be transferred both ways. There is always a weaker brain that takes an extreme hit from the experiment."
"So you mean..."
"Chasity's brain was not able to withstand the voltage of the procedure and broke down, meaning she passed away in your body. You were close to death also but we were able to stabilize you at the last moment. You were comatosed for 3 months and we were doubting you would recover but you've pulled through extremely well, I'm impressed."
"This is all happening so fast" you gasp shocked, "so what will happen to me.
"Well partially due to the discontinuing of funding of the body swap project, and the extreme mental trauma preventing you from surviving a second swap, it seems that you will be stuck as Chasity for the rest of your life".
