The door closing was at the very least a disconcerting noise and Kelsey stopped in her tracks before the corner of the house, nearly slipping on the grass beneath her feet. Her finish line being closed didn't make her feel any better but maybe Amanda was just trying to keep out the cool air of the night. She hesitantly took another step forward, determined to finish up the dare when the sound of a sliding deadbolt sent Kelsey into a mild panic.
Turning around, Kelsey ran back to the door and grabbed the handle. Of course the door didn't budge. Amanda's smug grin filled the window of the door and she held up Kelsey's clothes tauntingly.
"Amanda, this isn't funny. Open the door!"
"I'm sorry, I can't hear you."
'Bull. If I can hear her, then she can hear me.'
"Amanda, stop it!" Kelsey was starting to get angry now.
"Okay, okay. Keep your voice down," came Amanda's reply. But she still didn't unlock the door.
"Well?" Kelsey pressed impatiently.
Amanda's hands covered her mouth, hiding her devious smile. "Well... I think you're braver than this."
"What?"
"Yeah," Amanda continued. "I don't think this is good enough. I still like the dare but I feel like it needs to be riskier."
"Amanda..."
"Hear me out! I'll give you two options: Run around the block in your underwear..."
"Amanda, I am NOT doing that!"
"Okay, well then option two: Run around the house naked!"
The idea both terrified and excited Kelsey. Kelsey had accepted the original dare because she was confident she wouldn't get caught. And if that was true then doing it naked shouldn't matter, should it? But this was still a huge leap forward in terms of risk. The two of them normally didn't even get changed in front of each other and now Amanda wants her to strip naked?!
"I will take your silence as acceptance!"
"No, wait!" Kelsey stalled for time. She couldn't believe she was entertaining this. "Why are you doing this? Don't you know I'm just going to get you twice as hard after?"
Amanda shrugged her shoulders. "I dunno. I think it'll be fun!"
Kelsey sighed. "And it's just the one time?"
"Yup! Take off your underwear, leave it all here, then run around once."
Kelsey couldn't help but feel uneasy about everything. If Amanda was going back on the original dare what's to say she wouldn't weasel out of this one too. What should she do?
