This choice: Jump down and grab onto her belt. Then work your way into her bag. • Go Back... You look down below you from the maiden’s hands. The astonishing sight of her waist and hips from where you’re standing; it’s as if you’re standing halfway up a mountain, although now’s not the time to consider going up; you have to go down. Without hesitation, you leap out of her hands and hope for the best. Micaiah can only look in surprise at what you have done. The rush of falling from such a high height is only a quick thrill as you grab onto her belt; curious you are to the view both up above and down below, you know she’s gonna start moving fast; her movement just might fling you off.
The sounds of the soldiers approaching are getting closer. Micaiah doesn’t appear too worried; maybe she has something up her sleeve? Whatever it is, you work your way across her belt. Close to her rear end, you spot a bag attached to it, a decent-sized bag, for her footage, that is. To you, it was incredibly massive, more than big enough to seek shelter in. Once you got close enough, you realized one glaring issue. Her bag was secured very nicely by some string tied into a cute bow; you faced an incredible challenge you had no more time for.
When things were looking grim, Micaiah reaches for the bag you were aiming to get into. She spots you and moves you to the top part. She unties the bag and opens it from the top, the force flinging you gently onto her waist from where you stood. The cushion of her clothed waist made for a pleasant surprise, you could cling to it for safety, but the opening into her bag was right around the corner. She pulls out a yellow tome that rises away from you, allowing you to see clearly into the contents of the bag. A small bunch of healing herbs and some food packed neatly into the corner, that’s it?! It appears there is nothing unsafe to leap onto; this is good.
Making another plunge, this one filled with much more confidence. You lightly land to the bottom of Micaiah’s bag. Almost an accomplishment at your diminutive stature, although she got the thing open in the first place. Uncertain of the dangers Micaiah could face, all you could really do is hope for the best at this point. The radiant sky from above shines down on you inside, while all the well-crafted fabric walls of the bag face you from all sides. Micaiah peers down and focuses her bright eyes on you. She quickly nods at you, giving you her faith, then the bright blue sky speedily vanishes as she closes the bag, leaving you in the Stygian darkness of her bag. Willingly trapped with her belongings left to hope for her safety.
Brevity in silence broken up by what sounds like her firmly tying her bag back up. Almost sealing your fate if something were to happen to her. Strange soldiers wanting her, what is going on? Only a moment has passed with only the outside sounds to give you a clue.
*FLASH*
The devastating sound of a magical flash rattles you as you hear shouting “Augh my eyes!” from outside. That must have been the magic tome! She must be a practitioner of light magic in this world. Abruptly your ride turns very bumpy; all the items in her bag bounce around with you; it’s clear she’s running. She must have made a getaway! You grab onto a piece of bread to help endure the trembling all around you. You feel an occasional sharp bump. Just how safe is it in here?
Trapped in what essentially feels likes a self-made prison, you trust in this giant woman to let you out once it is safe. Some time has passed, no watch or anything to check how much; this chaotic ride filled with uncertainty finally comes to an end. Silence fills the air, but you know she will free you and then give you some idea of what’s going on. Ultimately, the strings come undone, the bag opens at last, as you can see, the once brilliant sky darkened; the sun has set.
The girl’s face rains down upon you once more with a look of concern, which fades away as she sees you’re safe. “Oh, I’m so sorry little one!” her voice was as booming as ever, although not as destructive as her light magic. “I think we finally found a moment of peace again. My current situation is rather dire…” she speaks in a serious tone. An apologetic “Your ride must not have been the smoothest, please forgive me!” comes from her mouth. You assure her that things are all good now. “Oh, thank goodness…” she reaches in and grabs you, her soft, supple fingers wrapped around you as she swaps you with her tome.
Your new surroundings appear to be an abandoned building; the smell of mold is noticeable as you exit the bag. Micaiah loosens her grip a little bit and stares directly at you. “I never even asked for your name. May I ask what your name is?” she says so curiously. You tell her your name, you immediately notice more affection in her voice. “Ah, that’s an interesting name! I think it suits someone from such mysterious lands!” admired Micaiah; despite her predicament, she seems to be growing an attachment towards you, but right now, you should really get back to normal…
You recounted how she claimed she was a fortune-teller. She must know something about how you ended up like this. You told her she might know how to change you back. “Oh, so you want to know how you became so small? And how to change you back? Hehe, why, I think you’re cute at this size!” she teases you as she softly pokes you with her finger. “I’ll be glad to help, but I need you to do something for me first.” Oh great, what could possibly go wrong? This must be related to her current chase. “I’m the leader of the Dawn Brigade, and I’m running late for our rendezvous tonight. So would you please bear with me a little longer?” Whatever you’re in for, she’s still your best bet of getting out of this mess, so you agree to join her. “Ah, splendid! I knew you could be trusted!” she exclaimed with a smile. “I just need to keep you somewhere safe until the meeting…” she murmured.
Now, where is she gonna keep you? indicates the next chapter needs to be written. |
