Almost as if planned your door opens and your younger sibling walks in. Trudy is 10 years old and generally a bundle of mischief, and frequently annoys the hell out of you. 'Hiya sis!' she says as she scans around looking for anything new or interesting that she can beg, steel or borrow, frequently for you never to see again. 'Oooh, what you got there then? You're not playing a game on your own are you?' That's not much fun. I'll let you play it with me.'
'Yeah, well, I wasn't really going to do much with it. I hadn't realized what it was when I got it. So I thought it may be a bit more appropriate for you to play with some of your friends anyway.'
'What? Disney's Princesses? Come off it Katy. I'm 10. Last time I played that I was around 6!'
'Yeah, I know. Bit of a bummer really.'
'Never mind. We can give it a go anyway. I know mom's banned you from just about everything else, so if you don't mind lowering your expectations a bit it may be a laugh.'
Well, perhaps she's right. If you don't play the game, then you'll have nothing else to do (apart from possibly your household chores or homework, but they don't really count as priority activities for a weekend), so you semi-reluctantly agree.
"So what happens first?" you ask her, as Trudy clearly has a better idea about it than you.
"Oh, that's easy. You pick one of the princesses as your playing piece, and then the younger player starts by waving the wand. I think I'll be Sleeping Beauty." She picks up one of the cardboard figures and looks a little more closely at it. "Oh, apparently not Sleeping Beauty."
"Eh, what do you mean?" you ask.
"Well, the picture's definitely wrong - Sleeping Beauty never wore a mini skirt and thigh length boots, and besides it has a name at the bottom - Bouncing Beauties. I think she's a bit top heavy too."
You have a closer look, and indeed this is not the Sleeping Beauty you remember, but a somewhat raunchier version! OK, so Trudy has taken Bouncing Beauties as her playing piece. What will you choose?
