The skunk talks to her.

Just as Citrine was about to perform her magic on the skunk, much to her surprise the skunk start to speak in the human tongue. "Thanks for the soup." The skunk thanks her. Citrine steps back in shock observing that the skunk is able to speak like a human. Turns out the skunk is a fellow student that's studying transformation magic.
