"Are you sure you're okay Blake?" Yang asked in concern for her partner. Like the rest of her team she had to bare witness to the disguised cat Faunus's latest dust experiment blow up in her face.
It had left the golden eyed girl's body smoking and covered in soot, reminiscent of Weiss the first day she met Ruby. "I'm fine Yang." she answered back. "I'm just glad the explosion didn't destroy my bow."
"Yeah. That would've been pretty hard to explain to everyone else in class." Yang lightly chuckled. "Although the look of surprise on everyone's faces might've been worth it."
Blake simply shook her head at her partner's comment, although she couldn't deny the image of bug eyes and slack jaws amused her greatly. But at the end of the day it wouldn't be worth it after the initial shock wore off.
"So you wanna tell me how you're dust experiment wound up exploding." Yang asked. After the explosion Professor Peach had told her to take Blake to the infirmary despite her insistence that she was fine and her aura tanked most of the damage.
The Faunus sighed before answering. "Someone sabotaged my experiment."
"Yang's eyes flashed. "What!?"
Blake was undisturbed by her the blonde's sudden shift in eyes color, she was far too used to it by this point. Instead she merely nodded, "I don't know who or how but they somehow managed to cause a chain reaction while I was present at my desk. The mixtures I used should've at worst caused my dust to evaporate... not explode."
"I bet it was Cardin and his lot, this totally seems like something they'd do." Yang growled. Those guys were always causing trouble.
"Could be." Blake shrugged. "But I'm not going to jump to conclusions without proof. For we know it could've been someone else. Team CRDL aren't the only jerks at Beacon."
Yang's eyes reverted back to their usual lavender shade but it was clear she was still annoyed. "True. But I've still got my eyes on them."
Blake smiled. "Thanks. Anyway, where's Weiss and Ruby?"
"Peach wanted to ask Rubes some questions after class and Weiss stayed with her. They texted me while you were in they infirmary. Said they'd be waiting back at the dorms for us."
Again Blake nodded. She just wanted to get back to her dorm and shower. The sooner she got this soot and leftover Dust off of her the better.
As the two continued to walk to they pair never noticed the faint glow enveloping the dirtied girl.
