Cindy grabbed the midsized blue address book on the table in her room. She opened to the tab when the S was located. Cindy reminded herself that she needed to add Joel unto her smartphone too. She hummed a melody while she added his name. Then she dialed the number that was his landline phone. Joel did not have a cellphone yet.

While Cindy waited as the phone rang, Cindy was trying to think of HOW she sounded over the phone. There was no need to panic Joel. She thought of the few times that they both were together - although in a crowd such as the 4th grade picnic, miniature golf, and a couple of classes together last semester. Cindy even heard Joel play in a concert on the piano one time last year.

After the 6th ring, Joel answered the phone himself. " Hello- Sunberg residence."
In a friendly and kind voice, Cindy replied ' Hello, Joel. This is Cindy. I was in Geology II and Music Appreciation I class with you last semester. I enjoyed hearing your comments in class. Your comments was useful and insightful in the subject matters.'
Joel was puzzled. 'Thank for what?' Cindy smiled ' Well, it encouraged me to study more. I made an A in Geology and an B in Music Appreciation.' Joel was momentarily stunned but said T-Thanks. I didn't know it helped you.'

She continued while her voice perked up a bit 'I even heard you play a tune from Mozart 'Turkish Rondo' and another tune from Mozart. You made it so relaxing than it released the stress I had that day. But I do want to ask you something if it is OK?' Joel hesitated but said ' What is it, Cindy' Cindy said ' I hope that I am not being too bold. I am not seeing Chad anymore.' Joel said ' I am sorry to hear that.' She continued with a small laugh ' That's OK. He was almost a jerk anymore. But I want to have a first date with you, Joel. You've been sweet to me and many other students. We do not have to rush anything though.'

Joel gasped and smiled. He managed to conceal his excitement 'Sure. How about this evening? Don't worry. I can pay for it both.' Hope that is not too soon.' Cindy smiled 'We can go Dutch the first time. Save the rest of your money for later. We do not have go to any place special. Keep it reasonable. I can be ready at 5 PM..'

Joel said ' Okay, we can pay for our own expense this time. We can dress business casual or slightly less IF you wish. I have a couple of complimentary tickets to __________.'
