Alex then slowly went into the bathroom undressed and got behind you as you washed your hair and Alex helped and showed you how to wash yourself properly as a female.
Once you were both finished you dried off and Alex said "well that's quite the change, isn't it Dan? or should I say Dani?".
You nodded and replied "yeah... it's going to take some getting used to, that's for sure. But at least we can help each other through this, right?"
Alex leaned in and gave you a reassuring hug. "Of course, Dani. We'll figure everything out together. And who knows, maybe this'll be an interesting adventure for us."
With that, you both got dressed. Alex put on a pair of jeans and a casual button-down shirt, while you chose a pair of plain blue panties, jeans, sneakers, a black bra and a vest top.
Alex helped you with the bra showing you an easy way to put it on. Alex said "turn the bra backwards fasten it at the front then turn it around and put your arms through the straps".
You nodded and did as she said. "Thanks, Alex. I think I've got it from here. You ready to face the outside world?" Then you pulled the vest top on over your head.
You both sat in your lounge and discussed the situation, still in disbelief. You asked Alex about what happened, she said "I don't know why we've swapped genders Dan, but I think we need to keep this between us for now. Plus I think reality has changed, I mean look at your apartment, it looks masculine but with some female touches like it belongs to a tomboyish girl or something."
You nodded in agreement, looking around at the posters on the wall, the bookshelf full of fantasy and sci-fi novels, and the comfortable but stylish furniture. "I guess you're right. Maybe we should go out and act as normal as possible."
Alex stood up and handed you your handbag which is black with multiple coloured skulls on it. "Well, let's go then. We have to act natural. We don't want to draw any attention to ourselves."
You both headed out of the apartment, making sure to lock the door behind you. As you walked down the hall, you couldn't help but feel self-conscious about your new bodies. But neither of you were given a second glance by people.
As you both walked out of the apartment block a neighbour said "morning Danielle, some seems happy this morning" you said morning "Mrs Jenkins" and smiled at her, not really knowing what to say. Alex leaned in and whispered in your ear "just ignore it, they'll get used to it soon enough."
