David's (now Cassandra) POV

My dad opened the door to reveal Stephen and Laura. "Hi Mr. Mason" Laura said. "We wanted to come and check up on David and Cassie and see how they're doing"

"Sure, come on in" dad said.

As the two of them came into the living room, Stephen said "So, how have you guys been handling all this so far?"

I looked at my former sister, now brother, and he said "Well, there's still some things I'm getting used to. Like a whole new center of gravity for starters. But it is kinda nice having some more mussel than before"

"I can agree to that, except it is kinda weird knowing I'm not quite as strong as I used to be." Standing up, I said "I'm kinda hungry, you guys want a snack or anything?"

While Stephen shook his head to suggest he wasn't hungry, Laura stood up and said "I can go for something." Laura followed me into the kitchen and took a seat at our island while I looked through the fridge for something to eat. "So, David"

"Cassandra" I said, interrupting her.

"What?"

"It was decided that we should go by our new bodies names all the time so we get used to it when we're in public" I said as I handed her one of the apples I got from the fridge.

"Oh, that makes sense. So, Cassie, I was wondering if you would be up for a trip to the mall tomorrow?"

"What for?" I asked.

"Well, with the back to school sales starting I wanted to go get some new clothes. I was just curious if you wanted to come with"

"I don't know, shopping has never been my thing"

"Don't worry, shopping has never been one of Cassie Mason's things. I just don't like going alone, which is why I always drag Cassie along"

"Well, when you put it that way, I guess I can go with you"

"Great, I'll come pick you up at eight thirty"

"Eight thirty? Why so early"

"Because, it's going to be your first real day as a girl. I'm expecting you to be struggling to start so I figured if I came over an hour early if you need more help, plus your mom makes better breakfasts than my mom"

Once the two of us finished our apples we went upstairs to my room, where My brother and Stephen were looking for a movie to watch. Without even saying a word, I threw in the new Star Wars movie, which everyone was good with watching. The four of us talked and joked during most of the movie, and kept watching all the way until my mom called us to the table. "Stephen, Laura, I wasn't sure if you to would be staying for dinner or not but I made extra taco meat if you'd like to stay"

"That's really nice Mrs. Mason" Stephen said. "But my mom is expecting me to be home for dinner so that I can help clean the house afterwards. We have some family stopping by for the weekend"

"I understand, how about you Laura?"

"I'd love to stay for dinner Mrs. Mason, I'll just text my mom to let her know I'll be home later"
