This choice: Assess your Environment, and see if you can't use something to your advantage • Go Back...Chapter #5Keep calm, use your head by: Baron The slime Girl began to slowly stalk up to you, a Predatory smile coming over her face, her tongue licking her gelatinous lips. It was obvious she was wanting to toy with you. In that case...
You take a deep a deep breath and assess you situation. Alright, let's review...
She's a slime girl. A living mass of sentient liquid/slime, meaning that there is only 3 basic things that can handle a Slime.
1. If someone has enough power or strength, they could physically be capable of dispersing said slime, and use the time it would take for the slime to reconstitute to flee or make an escape. However, since Erik is just starting out, he doesn't necesarily have the physical strength to pull this off, especially with just a wooden sword. So fighting directly would be out of the question.
2. Magic or elemental attacks would be capable of dealing damage to a Slime. Erik though doesn't know any magic yet, and he doesn't have any form of Elemental enhancements, or enchantments. You could however use something in the environment, question is, what? Looking around, you see on the ground is some loose dirt and dust. It would take some effort, but if you could manage to sling some dirt into the slime, it could slow her movements down marginally, and give her body something physical to hit, even with your wooden sword. However, could you be able to pull it off? At close range, Slimes are quite fast, and throwing dirt would require you to get close, and rely on dodging skills. And if she manages to get a hold of you, you wouldn't be able to escape her grasp, as a Slime's body can potentially become a variety of consistencies, from sticky to smooth, to even watery to acidic. If she grabs you, it's over, and you would be at her mercy, and all things considered, that option may not be viable.
3. Slimes were constantly oozing out and drinking up liquid, which means, as long as they are not in a moist area, than overexerting themselves could result in quick dehydration, which would result in fatigue and/or weakness. This process could also be hastened if the slime tries to use projectile attacks, such as flinging its own slime. Once dehydrated, a Slime would become vunerable, which would give you the opportunity to attack, or run away. Then again, if she were to start slinging her slime at you, you would have to not get hit even once, for the slime would restrain you and prevent any further movement, which means, one hit, and you're done... You look around, and see that the area seems a bit dry, which makes sense since it hadn't rain for a couple of days. If you could goat her into attacking you with projectiles, and manage to avoid all of her attacks, you could win this.
Whatever happens next will require effort, perfect timing, lots of endurance, and speed on your part. So choose your next action wisely... | Members who added to this interactive story also contributed to these: |
