A snap of the finger and I shake my head. I’m chill, so I look at everyone who witnessed what I believe is a failed hypnotic episode. I laugh as I carry about the party visiting with other party goers.
Occasionally, I find myself pulling at the clothing. My legs seem tight my collar seem tight. My clothes do not feel right! What I’m wearing is the same I put on before, but I’m subconsciously uncomfortable.
Eventually Kate, my good friend since elementary school, notices my behavior. “Are you OK, Stephen?”
I manage to brush it off and find myself irritated and snappy.
Kate hints with suggestion of reasonability, “You probably just want to get into something more comfortable. After all, you did wear my favorite. You know how I like to snuggle seeing you in it!” Giggling and flirting she adds, “After all, that is why you asked me to pack for the weekend, right! I will be right back. I will grab our stuff, so you can get more comfortable.” Kate leaves the room, heads outside and returns with two suit cases. She throws one on the end couch cushion and the other at the other end of the couch. Seeing her strange behavior all the party goers in the room stop and pay witness. “But who knows what would happen if you were to get more comfortable? Go ahead pick something out and find out!” She smiles with a Texas sized grin.
