One pleasantly plumped squirrel beastkin by the name of Makoto Nanaya was not pleased with the request from one of her close friends, Tsubaki Yayoi, the redhead in her defense was merely asking for her fuzzy-tailed friend to cover herself up with her black coat. Not because she was wearing little attire-wise as usual but rather because she was practically pouring out of said attire!
The young squirrel girl was flat-out fat, not something that Tsubaki would tell her to her puffy face, much if not all of the weight had come in the time after running Hazama right out of Kagutsuchi after he had taken their best friend Noel hostage for his sinister scheme prior to that Makoto stepped in to keep her blonde and redheaded friends from killing each other thanks to Hazama's undermining ways.
That snake was still out there somewhere and if he showed his face again Makoto was sure she'd punch him straight to the moon but that was then and this was now.
"Just wear it, Makoto, you can take it off when we get there." Tsubaki stated deciding to meet Makoto halfway.
"Good because you know awkward it would be to eat with that thing on...VERY!"
"Duly noted"
The rare use of sarcasm was not lost to the heavy squirrel, hands on her handles laying at her sides.
"Yeah yeah very funny, Tsubaki."
"Well I think you're both right...sorta..."
That soft unmistakable tone had to belong to one Noel Vermillion making her presence known as she walked in on her two closest of friends. Tsubaki greeting her as she usually did as did Makoto which as expected led to the poor blonde nearly be engulfed in the flab of her much stronger heavier friend and as usual Tsubaki had to step in to pry Makoto off of Noel before the life left her body...
Some time later the trio found themselves traveling through Orient Town cloaked in their usual attires the three ladies continued on their way to a restaurant where Makoto had become a regular of, Tsubaki was convinced that was the reason behind the squirrel girl's recent puffiness or she had started getting ready for winter...a full six months ahead of schedule...obviously to Tsubaki the former sounded a lot more believable then the latter.
Thankfully Makoto's new size didn't bring any unwanted attention to the three of them so they were free to go about their business even as they reached their destination.
