Ashley debated with herself. On one hand, she wanted to just dive into her plan. Start gaining and surprise her skipper. The look she'd imagine be on his face would be utterly priceless! But the more she mulled that thought over, the more she pushed aside her little daydream, the less she liked the idea. She'd spent all this time shutting Shepard out. Ignoring his side of things and focusing only what her perspective. If she just jumped the gun and threw herself into all of this without talking to him, wouldn't she just be doing the same thing as before? Not talking with him and moving forward together, but instead, just doing what she wanted regardless of his thoughts and feelings?
No. She was not going to go back down that particular road.
She needed to clear the air. Get to John and rekindle what they had properly. Then, she'd tell him her plan to blimp herself to the moon and back.
