Chapter #6Hoen by: John   You are excited to finally be venturing out to see the rest of the world. You excitedly board a boat and make your way to the Hoen region. You have heard many good things about the various pokemon you can catch in this region, but you also wonder what the feet of the Hoen region might be like. After a long journey you finally arrive in the Hoen region, and decide your first stop will be a visit to the professor of the region, Professor Birch.
You make the journey to little root town, and enter the professors lab. He warmly greets you, and the two of you begin discussing various pokemon from the two regions. You show him your pokedex, and he upgrades it to register Hoen pokemon.
"So, I bet you're eager to take on the Pokemon League here, huh?" Professor Birch asks.
You agree, mentioning how you'd love to be the champion of two regions.
"Well you might need some help. My daughter is a pokemon trainer like you, I can probably convince her to take you around Hoen if you'd like. Let me know if you're interested and I can call her. Last I heard she was stopping by Petalburg city, which isn't to far from here."
You accept his proposition and he calls her up. You try to avoid peeping on their conversation, and after a few minutes he puts the phone down.
"She's down to show you around! She said she is very excited to meet the Kalos champion. Let me give you directions to Petalburg."
He scribbles down directions and you head off. It doesn't take you too long to get to Petalburg, and as you enter the city you notice a girl with a red ribbon in her hair waving to you.
"You must be the Kalos champ, right? You got that look of a powerful trainer!"
You greet her and introduce yourself.
"Nice to meet you! I'm May!" She says with a smile, shaking your hand.
"I was actually just about to head home and rest for a while, I've been out on my own journey for quite a while now. I haven't really had the chance to rest in so long! But as soon as I heard the champion of another region needed a tour, I of course had to accept! Not only do you get one of the best guides around, but hopefully I can learn to become even stronger! Brandon, my rival and childhood friend, always seems to be one step ahead of me, I can't wait to teach him a lesson." She says. "Which brings me to my next question. Would you be interested in a battle? I think its a great way to get to know each other!"
You accept her offer, and your eyes shift down towards her feet. You see she seems to be shifting uncomfortably, and you assume her feet must be sore since she said she hasn't had a chance to relax in quite a while. Hoping to potentially get closer to her feet, you bring up the idea of making the battle more interesting, where the loser has to face some sort of punishment or do something for the winner.
"Great idea! How about..." She thinks for a second, once again shifting her feet. "Oh, I know! If I win you have to give me a foot massage! My feet are killing me from walking alll around Hoen, so I think I deserve a nice foot rub if I'm going to go around a second time! And you can choose whatever you want if you win, which you probably will since you're a champion. But I won't hold back, my feet need this win!" She says confidently.
You're speechless for a moment, surprised she was the one to bring her feet up and not you. but accept the challenge right away.   indicates the next chapter needs to be written. |
