You are about to prepare a simple sleep spell, but for some reason you stop before saying the first word. Somehow you start to feel uneasy about your decision, as if something could go terribly wrong. Maybe the better strategy would be to remain silent and unseen for the moment. You feel sorry for the poor woman, but getting yourself captured won't help her at all.
The barbarians continue to tickle the dark skinned beauty for quite some time, until they finally seem to be satisfied. Well at least satisfied for now. One of the barbarians starts to untie the completely exhausted woman, while the others are talking. You can't quite understand what they are saying, but you can see that the biggest barbarian is giving something to the second biggest one. As you look closer you suddenly realize what it its.
It's a shard of the legendary shadow crystal and quite a big one. The shadow crystal nullifies all magic within a certain radius and this one seems big enough to prevent any magic spell within 50 feet. If you had tried to rescue the two captives, you surely would have made a fool of yourself. What seems to be even worse is that they most likely have more than one shard.
In the meantime both captives have been removed from the poles and their arms and legs have been tied with ropes. It seems that escaping is still no option for those two. The biggest barbarian of the group takes the male captive, the second biggest one takes the female captive and the group leaves.
You wait for one minute and then start to follow them. The plants in this area are making it really easy for you to remain unseen, but they don't cover the big brutes. (Not that they try to cover their tracks anyway)
After about 30 minutes of walking the group stops for a while. The two biggest men start talking again and afterward the barbarians split. Three men along with the male captive go to the northwest, while the others take the female captive to the northeast.
Now you have to decide which party you want to follow.
