You beg her not to just walk out and leave you like this, but she slowly and tauntingly strolls toward the door.
Desperately and frantically you cast, thinking only that you have to stop her from leaving the room.
You bark out the spell almost reflexively, instinctively, thinking only about the effect you want: “Keep her from leaving, and stop these hands from tickling your armpits and your feet!”
You rattle off the impromptu spell!
As Laura is meandering toward the door and earthquake shakes her nearly off her feet, she stumbles around in the middle of the room and nearly loses her balance, but is able to stay standing. Then suddenly the oddest thing happens, a portion of the ceiling above her starts to collapse right above her and you hear the strangest sound,
It almost sounds like giggling!
Apparently Laura knows exactly what this is and apparently it terrifies her!
No! No! No!
She shrieks and just before that portion of the ceiling can fall and release whatever is above it, she reaches up and pushes the ceiling portion back into place.
There she stands on her tip toes, arms stretched up to the ceiling, holding it in place.
Right around this time you realize the second effect of the spell. You are untied and the magical hands have stopped.
Laura pleads with you
‘Kevin! Cancel the spell! Please! Those are tickle fairies trying to come through! If they get to us they’ll torture ‘both’ of us for as long as they can! They know spells to, they can silence us, portal us, do all kinds of things to prolong our torture! You have to stop this!"
You know a little bit about tickle fairies, enough to be afraid of them, but you also know that your rival has no choice but to hold her arms up, and to leave her feet wide open as she’s standing on her tip toes.
