Urahara sighed. He knew right away what he would need to do. Ichigo had somehow not only hollowfied, but also prematurely evolved all the way to the highest level of menos. His power was immense, now, but it was also unstable.
Ichigo simply didn't have enough spiritual power to act as a foundation for his new form. At the moment, it was being sustained by the sheer force of the teen's reiryoku, but that could only hold out for so long. Urahara was certain that the boy was still in there, but his body was too unstable for his consciousness to manifest properly.
He needed sustenance, a hearty meal to stabilize his soul and augment his native strength. And there was only one thing present with enough spiritual nutritional value to do this.
Ichigo needed to eat something with a reiatsu at or above captain level, and Urarahara knew that he would either have to bite the bullet himself, or kill Ichigo here and now.
And the latter wasn't an option.
"Heh, somehow I always knew I'd go out this way..." remarked the exiled mad scientist as he let his zanpakuto drop to the ground and took a step forward, discarding his hat and coat.
"Manager...!" gasped Tessai, frowning as he watched his friend walk towards the berserk, hollowfied Ichigo while shedding his clothes article by article. "What are you...?!"
"I'm making my biggest gamble yet," replied Urahara with an almost casual tone even just as he removed the last of his clothes, leaving himself stark naked and effectively defenseless. "C'mere, Ichi-boy~!" he then said brightly to the hollowfied teen. "Have a bite of old Urahara! I'm chock full of essential vitamins and minerals, as well as your daily dose of anti-implodium~!"
Ichigo let out a bellowing roar, throwing his head back as he howled and his reiatsu spiked. The ground beneath their feet started to shake from the sheer force of his spiritual pressure. Then he lowered his head again, fixing his gaze squarely on the naked Urahara.
