"You will not fool me demon!" With a smug grin, Leo pointed the tip of his blade at one of the Lydias. "The fact that you resort to such tricks must mean that you are almost beaten. I will fight on!"
The four Lydias chuckled. The sound of their laughter and the expressions on their faces sent a shiver down his spine. "If that is your wish, it shall be granted."
The Lydias dissolved, but her voice continued to sound omnipresent. "Let's see how you'll handle this."
When her echoing voice faded, the earth started shaking. A massive crack formed right underneath Leo's feet. He jumped to the side as an endless abyss opened up. The ground next to the gap rose higher and turned soft. Suddenly, it was no longer earth, but something else, smooth and red. He tried to keep his balance when the answer came to his mind: lips. The sides of the rift were massive lips and the gap itself was a mouth, big enough to swallow an entire village. When he gazed into it, he saw massive, white, sharp teeth.
He stumbled backwards as a gush of hot, humid wind emerged, filling his nostrils with a sweat scent. Then, an enormous tongue emerged like the head of a massive monster. It slammed against the lip he was standing on, slowing making its way towards him.
Quickly, he jumped to the side, away from the looming abyss. But when he left the lips, he realized that the remaining ground had also turned to skin. Before him, a giant hill emerged, two gaping openings at the front side. A nose, he thought, when a tremendous wind sucked him right into one of the holes. Luckily, he was able to catch a nose hair, massive as a tree trunk.
Once the wind stopped, he tried to jump down. But the hair was too sticky. A second later, the wind returned, this time blowing in the other direction. He was grabbed by the storm and sent out. Only thanks to his magic and superhuman strength, he was able to safely land on the lip again and use his momentum to jump over the abyss.
Quickly, he dashed over what he assumed to be a chin, when the ground suddenly rose up while simultaneously getting steeper. The titanic face rose up. But he managed to escape, landed on real earth again, and ran. He cursed. If things would go on like this, he would not be able to attack her. Instead, he would have a hard time surviving. Plus, she was not even really attacking him.
"Where are you going, little hero?" Lydia's mocking voice thundered from above, shaking the earth with every syllable. "Was I not 'almost beaten'? Come on, finish me, strong Leo."
She laughed like a thunderstorm. Cracks formed as the earth trembled. Leo had to use magic to protect his ears from bursting. Finally, her laughter stop, but the shaking did not. Four gigantic pillars emerged in the distance. No, not pillars, he realized. Those were fingers. He found himself in the palm of Lydia's hand. The ground had already turned into her soft skin.
With superhuman speed only a high level hero like himself could muster, he managed to jump off, right as the fist closed behind him. As he looked back, he had to use all of his willpower not to collapse in defeat. Lydia's head and hand rose out of the ground like mountains. She was no giant, she was a titan, a goddess in the flesh. He had to retreat, gather more people, maybe call for the gods themselves to go to war with this demonwitch.
