The dictaphone

"Everyone is this room other than me is now 6 inches tall!"

"PLEASE NO!" screamed the girls, but it was already too late. In front of them, Vanessa was already looking like she was growing bigger, just like everything else in the room. Their perspective was changing as they were shrinking, and looking at everyone in fear and panic, they couldn't a single thing but realize their terrible fate. Looking up, they had to look higher and higher to see Vanessa's cruel smile as the shrinkage wouldn't stop.

Within seconds, the poor girls were 5'0 for the tallest of them, the dictaphone keeping the differences in size between them like it understood exactly what Vanessa wanted, then 4'6, 4'0...

Liz, Amber, Eden and Wendy began to take steps back as Vanessa was double their size when they were 3'0, and regretted ever trying to fight her. Everything about Vanessa seemed enormous and able to crush them now, and on their way to being 2'0, their ears were ringing with the bitch's laughter, looking at the powerless girls shrinking always smaller.

2'0... 1'6... 1'0...

The girls scattered in fear, running under furniture to hide themselves, both to hide from Vanessa and from the gazes of their friends, even if they were in the same situation. They were too ashamed of what was happening to them.

"Run, little friends, you can't hide from your big, big Vanessa!" laughed the dictaphone's owner.

At 6 inches tall for the tallest, and around it for the others, the shrinkage stopped. Hidden everywhere in the bedroom, the shrunken girls were terrorized, as now, even a cat could be quite danger to them. Vanessa did a first step, and at their size, they felt the vibration in the floor.

"Hide & seek! I'm done counting, I'm coming!" laughed Vanessa. And as she crouched, the girls saw her giant face searching for them, discovering their hides one after the other.

"Come here, you traitor!" Vanessa said as her arm extended faster than Amber could run under the bed. She took her like a doll and dropped her on her desk, and then, chased in the same way Liz and Eden. When she grabbed Wendy, the girl was shouting with her squeaky voice :

"Mom and dad will know! You'd better change us back!"
"Not if I don't want them to know. And I also said "now" in my record, so no one knows you're 6 inches tall, and would know you're weak, poor things in need of protection. Now, my doll-sized friends, it's time for you to do what I wanted you to do : looking at me changing. Too bad you didn't obeyed me, else, you'd still be big girls... not as much as me but... you know, you're cute at this size! But disobey me one more time, and you could end up even smaller..."

Vanessa looked at the dictaphone and smiled. "Now, where were we?"
