The dictaphone

Josh took a picture in his hand. It was him with at some park with his friends, except that now, there was someone else on it.

The new person was blurred for a while, and then, as reality adapted, Eden, a girl from school and well known follower of Vanessa Barnes had just appeared next to him, her smiling face on his shoulder, and holding his hand. Everything else was still the same but... now, Josh had had a girlfriend on that time. He wondered if he was still with her. One sure way to know : his phone.

Inside, a lot of old text messages that weren't there before were all about, those 6 last months, some random girls from school asking him out. But mostly one time stands, or some flirts. It wasn't that much, but for Josh, it was a big change. So, now, he was a popular boy ? Good to know how much a "little" change could make school and his life a lot easier. Now, he wasn't in the bottom of the ranking of boys at school. He was average... wait, no, because he had said that the whole school knew about his "enhancement" he was obviously in the upper part of the crowd. Eden was obviously been a regular flirt, and she was one of the school pretty looking girls, meaning Josh was definitely way above what he used to be.

He noticed a few text messages from Kate...

... but to his shock, none of them had been changed. He had still, with her, this good old friendship. Or this damn friendzone, depended. Still, checking the history of the messages, he eventually found some where Kate was joking about his "Big Josh", telling that a few girls at school had been talking about him and that they were saying quite nice things about him. The occurrence of those messages was quite regular, and it was even suspicious : was Kate enjoying this topic ? Was she into big boys but unsure of crossing the border with an old friend ? Or just... wasn't she into him ? Still, something had changed between them. Slightly, but Josh was sure that Kate was just a bit interested by this development.

Josh was a bit disappointed. Even with this, Kate wasn't crazy about him. Okay, he had been banging a few of the school known pretty girls, but he was still hitting the second rank girls like Eden, not first rank like Vanessa Barnes.

He didn't feel like staying second to someone, now. And the dictaphone was almost burning his hand, as he badly wanted to use it again...
