Jessie started out her day like any other day, a complete nightmare. Her alarm went off in the morning and she flew out of bed and raced to the kid’s bedrooms.
“Wake up, wake up.” Jessie yelled banging on the doors. “You’re going to be late.”
The kids woke up and walked downstairs to the kitchen. Breakfast was prepared and the next half hour went the exact same. One of the kids lost something or can’t find something and Jessie had to find it. Jessie was at the point of tearing her hair out.
Jessie managed to get all the kids into the elevator. Zuri had her homework, Luke was prank free, Ravi was already sorted so he wasn’t so much trouble and Emma had everything she needed.
“Oh thank god,” Jessie said as she collapsed on the couch. “Another painful morning done.”
Jessie placed her hands on her head and ran her fingers through her hair. Jessie sighed and ran her hands down to her stomach. Jessie rubbed her stomach as she was feeling uneasy. Her stomach started to growl and her vision started to blur. Everything around her started to shake. Jessie started to panic as she had no idea what was happening. She tried to move but her body froze. Before she knew it Jessie passed out.
Jessie woke up a few hours later but to her surprise she felt completely fine. She was able to see straight, her stomach felt normal and she was able to move.
“That was weird.” Jessie said as she sat up.
Jessie looked around and noticed that something wasn’t right. Everything seemed larger than usual. The coffee table that was right in front of the couch was huge. Jessie looked down in shock. The couch was larger as well. Jessie’s stomach dropped as she realised that she had shrunk to five inches. Jessie fell back on the couch and tried not to panic. She knew panicking wouldn’t make the situation any better.
“Oh shit.” Jessie said.
Jessie looked around to see if there was anyone in the room to help her. Jessie knew that it would be impossible. The kids were at school and Bertram was nowhere to be seen. Jessie needed to find a way to get help. Jessie stood up and walked to the side of the couch and looked down.
“Shit that’s far.” Jessie said.
Jessie looked around to see if there was anything to help her down. Jessie saw a giant sweatshirt hanging down the edge of the couch. She couldn’t believe her luck. Jessie walked over to the sweatshirt. She grabbed onto the long sleeve and abseiled down the side of the couch. The height was only half a meter but to Jessie it felt like twenty meters.
“Easy.” Jessie said as she landed on the floor.
Jessie looked up at the couch. She still couldn’t believe how huge the couch was. The sound of the elevator arriving at the floor caught Jessie’s attention. She ran around the side of the couch to see who it was.
