You exhaled a sigh of relief upon seeing Izzy the Basilisk smiling down at you. That just goes to show how weird your life had become, the sight of a giant anthropomorphic snake woman calms you down now. Though to be fair Izzy was nowhere near as threatening as her species implied.
Izzy gave you that same flirtatious smile she saved just for you as she kneeled down to talk. "Well good morning, handsome. Out for a jog?"
You returned a friendly smile. "Yeah, figured if I'm here for a while may as well stay in running shape. If you know what I mean."
She chuckled a little at your joke. Though you were currently not interested in Izzy the same way she was with you, it was nice to spend time with her every now and then. What was not to like? She was smart, witty, and most of all kind. In a world like this, its nice to have a few friends you could count on.
"So, what are you up to, Izzy?"
"Well, I was on my way to the attic to pull out the Christmas decorations. Its getting close to that time of year I thought we'd get an early start." She lowered her hand down to you. "Want to help out R.L.?"
You've never been to the attic before. Something Nefernina said about humans in unwanted places. But that only made you curious and hey any chance to disobey the old mummy and not get caught was fine by you. "Sure, lets go."
You jumped on Izzy's hand and she lifted you up to about eye level before placing you on her shoulder with a smile. And the 2 of you were off. But in the world of monsters, danger waits around every corner...
