Without really thinking, you duck underneath one of the nearby doors, the gap between the bottom of the door and the floor easily large enough for you to fit yourself through. This building was made for giant monsters hundreds of feet tall, you felt like a mouse or even a small bug as you do this. Within your new surroundings, the room was incredibly dark, so you couldn't really make out what was inside. But you did hear breathing coming from somewhere. You forgot that it was still early in the morning and that most other residents were probably still asleep. Lupa just had to be exception.
Speaking of Lupa, she stopped right in front of the locked door that separated her and you. You peered underneath the door, drips of her saliva falling to the ground in front of you and splashing across the floorboards."You win this time, R.L....."She whispered, crouching low so that her angry eye stared directly at you. You took a few steps away from the door just as a precaution."You're lucky I don't wanna bother who's in here. But I'll get ya next time, promise..."She chuckled, even though it sounded more like snarling, stood back up, and walked away, her booming footsteps becoming less and less noticeable by the second. You didn't even hear her at all after a minute. With a heavy sigh of relief you wiped the sweat from your brow and took stock of the situation. You had escaped Lupa, but now you were in an unknown monster's living area, and you had no idea how they'd react to a small human suddenly appearing in their home. You would head right back out the door, but the risk of running into Lupa again would be too great. You decided that you were just going to take a breather here and head out in about a few minutes.
"Man...glad that's over..."You said aloud, only for the click of a lamp and footsteps from deeper within the apartment to be heard."Who said that?"You heard a female voice say.
