Kim looked to the big fire that was burning. The light got reflected in her eyes. Around the fire were a lot of trailers or camper's. A lot of people were sitting or standing around the fie. Some were eating, talking or reading, little kids were chasing each other and some teens tried to find spot to make out (or maybe even more then that).
Kim's real name was Kimberly but everyone called her Kim except for her grandparents. Kim liked being a gypsy. Most important reason she liked being a gypsy was that gypsy's were honest and did't judged people because how they looked or the way how they lived. Kim was a real Gypsy she wore long dresses and normally a scarf around the top of her head. Some times also some bracelets.
Gypsy's were more fair against people who looked a bit different. Like Esmeralda. She was born without legs or feet. But she could walk very well on her hands. She could walk even faster on her hands then most other kids running. In the place were she was born people still really believed in god and the devil and when Esmeralda was born many people believed her mother had done something terrible that her daughter was cursed and that was why she was born without legs. Other people believed that her mother made a deal with a devil and that she give him the legs of her first born for something else. Almost no one wanted to see them so her father bought a trailer and joined the gypsy's and they accepted the three people and no one ever made a problem about the fact she had no legs.
She looked in the direction of the city and saw the many lights burning. Kim was't very fond of he city. She did't mind the city that much but it was more how people there reacted to them. They only tried to make a bit of money with fortune telling, hand reading or tricks. But most people acted like they were riffraff and thief's. When she sometime saw a kid looking in her direction or did a step towards her his or her parent took the kid tight by the wrist saying they could better stay away from people like her. Like if she had some threatening disease.
"Mom... are we save this time? I don't want that people throw a rock through my window like last time."
"Well I talked with Daniel and he said he made sure we could stay here. So legally the can't force us to go away."
Kim looked towards Daniel's trailer. One of the best. Daniel was the leader. A muscled man with long blond hair. He loved to party but he knew very well that some things were more important and he always made sure they could stay somewhere safely before he did any other thing. She saw his teenage daughter sitting outside. Slender, with a perfect skin, long blond hair that fell like a waterfall over her shoulders and DD boobs. Boy's all thought she was beautiful and some were drooling over her. Especially when it was warm weather and she left her breasts naked.
Not that naked was special or unusual for them. A lot of people washed themselves or their children outside and anyone could see them, and when there was a sunny day some of them went sun bathing naked. No one of them really cared if someone was naked so their kids also never cared if somebody was naked. When it was warm weather and they were near a pond or lake some kids (also sometimes boys and girls) went swimming naked together and no one really cared
"We Gypsy's are proud of what we have." She mumbled. "Mom! is dad almost back with our food?"
She hoped dad also get some vegetables and fruit. While a lot of parents had trouble to let their children eat vegetables or fruit Kim always loved vegetables and fruit. That was probably also the reason she was pretty thin. She also ate grains and meat or fish not because she liked hat so much but you need that food too.
"Almost honey." She answered.
Kim looked at the two buses they had. It were double-decker's. One was from Johnny. He had long hair and a peace sign around his neck. His bus was full of books. Books for little kids who just learned how to read till big books for adults like books from Stephen King. You could always borrow as many books from Johnny as you wanted. It was like their own personal library.
The other bus was from mister a misses Jefferson. They used to be teachers and took lot of books an other school stuff when they joined he gypsy's. They gave every child that lived with them a good education. Something like their own school.
"Hee Kim I'm back with food." Her dad said with a smile.
"Great I'm starving." Kim sad and followed her father inside. "Wat did you take?"
"Well today I tried to make it easy so I bought some Mc Donalds."
"What's that?" Kim asked who never had eaten Mc Donalds before.
"Well I have for you a hamburger, some fries, a milkshake and a salad especially for you."
Kim thought the hamburger looked a bit strange. Meat and salad on a bun with sauce. But like her mother always said you always need to try something new. She took one bite and was sold. She fast wolfed her hamburger down. It tasted terrific. She could't remember she ever before ate something that tasted so good. So delicious. She took one sip from her vanilla milkshake and loved the creamy liquid. She tasted fries before but they never tasted so good like these.
After she ate the fries she took her salad. Even while she liked it, it was't so good like the hamburger. She washed the salad down with the last of her milkshake and leaned back. That was her best meal ever. However her dress felt a bit tighter.
