"I'll get Apple Bloom for you," you say. "The other ponies asked me to help them out today, as well, so I could take Apple Bloom with me while you focus on getting all that extra work done."
"Well, that's mighty nice of ya, partner," she says. "Ah wouldn't want mah little sis cooped up in the house all afternoon, especially on a Friday."
"What are friends for?" you say, resisting the urge to cringe at the word "friends." Will that be all you'll ever be to AJ? You hope not. She's such an amazing pony, the mare of your dreams, even. It would really suck if all you ever are to her is just a friend.
"In that case, Ah'll head out to the orchards and get to work," says Applejack. "Ah have a long day ahead of me."
"Don't push yourself too hard, though," you say.
"When have Ah ever pushed myself too hard?" she asks, but then she quickly says "Don't answer dat question." When she passes you on her way out the house, her mane brushes your face slightly, and you catch a whiff of its sweet scent. After enjoying the aroma, you go upstairs to get Apple Bloom. When you reach her room, you knock on her door, and she opens it.
"[Your name]!" she says. "You're here!"
"Yep," you say. "So, you wanna go out into town? I'm gonna be helping the other ponies."
"That'd be great!" she says, and you both head out.
As you two are walking, Apple Bloom decides to strike up a conversation.
"Ah've been wonderin'," she says. "How come you visit Sweet Apple Acres so often?"
"To see Applejack," you answer bluntly, not wanting her to know that you have a crush on her older sister.
"Ah know that," she says, "but why do you live to visit mah big sis so much?"
"Well, next to Twilight, she's the closest friend I have," you explain. "When I first moved here, I was picked on a lot for being the only human in the whole town, and she was the first of my classmates to actually show me kindness. We've been friends ever since."
"Oh, Ah see," she says, finally dropping the subject.
So, who do you and Apple Bloom visit first?
