As Jake felt his way around the walls of the invisible building he had found. He found an indent in the building, finding a set of closed doors. Fumbling around on the door for the open button, he found it, and stumbled into the building as the door opened.
She stood on the marble floor, her bare feet cold as she looked up at the man in robes that had taken her from her tribe. He spoke to a young girl wearing similar robes to him in a language she didn’t understand. Why was she here? Why had this strange man taken her from all she had ever known? She shifted from foot to foot as she turned to look at the exit. The strange metallic doors had closed behind her. There wasn’t a way out. No way to run. At least not that way. The door seemed like a symbol, cutting off the person she used to be. But no. She would not forget. Someday, she would escape and return to her tribe, where she would be safe. Unlike here, in this strangely shaped stone box that cut off sun, sky and even wind.
The strange people approached. The man smiled, and spoke in her language.
“Welcome to the Sabru Temple, Saria. I hope you can find a home here with us. May I introduce you to my apprentice, Glacia. She will show you to your room so that you might rest.”
He switched languages again, and spoke with Glacia for a moment. She nodded, smiled at her and indicated for her to follow. She hesitated, looking back towards the door again, before she decided to follow. She was led from the large room, and into a smaller one. The older girl pressed three buttons on a panel next to the door, and it opened.
“Why don’t you get some rest?” Glacia said, in her language “It’s been a long day for you. I’ll come find you in the mornings for breakfast.”
Glacia left the room, and Saria collapsed on her bed.
Jake blinked as he felt soft covers below him. How had he gotten here? Hadn’t he just entered the temple? And what was that strange dream?
